Job Description

Business Change Manager - Government - London - Up to £450 a day

We are currently working with a Government Body based in London who a looking for a Business Change Manager to shame and deliver a number of Business Change initiatives across Technology and IT. You must be SECURITY CLEARED to progress with your application.

  • Reports to the Project Manager/Delivery Lead for project business change activities
  • Works closely with the Product Owner to ensure business representation
  • Co-ordinates business change activities in collaboration with operational leads, Business Embedded Trainers and Change Champions
  • ensures change is embedded within the business and individuals do not default back to old habits and behaviours when the project ends so that a project's intended benefits can be realised

Specifically, the role includes:

  • Change Impact Assessment of project's activity on the operational business to identify interventions required to successfully deliver the intended change
  • Ensuring that the business is ready, able and willing to adopt the changes - including managing stakeholder management, pre and post live communications activities
  • Change Champion engagement and mobilisation when planning, communicating and implementing business change activities
  • Training needs analysis and delivery to ensure staff are appropriately skilled to deliver anticipated change
  • Assessing business readiness to take on the changes prior to implementation
  • Early life support activities to help users transition to new ways of working immediately following implementation
  • Identifying, monitoring and measuring the benefits relating to business change activity
  • Contributing to project Lessons Learned and continuous improvement of business change activities

Person Specification

  • Able to operate within a multi-disciplined IT environment
  • Experienced in dealing with senior stakeholders effectively in a large organisation
  • Excellent communicator at all levels (verbal, written, presentation)
  • Presents self well - credible and professional and with gravitas
  • Demonstrates resilience and flexibility in challenging situations
  • Quality ethos, with attention to presentation format and detail
  • Manages change and delivers successful outcomes
  • Knowledge of a range of business change methods, standards and processes;
  • Thinks strategically and works at pace
  • Develops effective communication and engagement solutions to drive successful delivery of change
  • Strong team player with the ability to flex to other work in support of colleagues;
