A top London based Wealth Manager are looking to appoint a Programme Test Manager in their Business Development Programme team in London. This will be a year contract position, with option to extend further.

Job Summary:

To be a key part of a Senior Programme Management team that is currently planning and executing the implementation of a new Wealth Management Back Office Platform. The job holder is expected to lead and manage all aspects of the Testing workstream within that programme from system testing of internal deliverables, acceptance testing of third party deliverables, Integration, Business Acceptance, Model office and Non-Functional testing.

Principal Activities:

  • Define the Programme Test Strategy for all aspects of testing on the programme including functional and non-functional testing ensuring quality deliverables throughout the process
  • Work with new platform providers to ensure an integrated test strategy and plans are in place and key objectives are met and risks/issues/assumptions managed effectively
  • Working with other programme team members, define and maintain the plans and resourcing required to deliver the test workstream successfully
  • Work with in house test team, business and IT subject matter experts and the project team to identify, define, collate and document all test collateral including test scenarios, scripts and test result reports
  • Produce regular status reporting on progress including issue & risk management, milestone reporting, quality metrics tracked, and sign-off milestones achieved
  • Follow best practice in-line with internal Test Strategy
  • Develop a team, including internal and external recruitment of appropriately skilled resources to deliver the testing workstream deliverables
  • Ensure appropriate traceability reporting in place to demonstrate the progress of testing against original documented requirements
  • Ensure adherence to governance requirements and change control processes
  • Work with IT and Technical teams to ensure appropriate test environments are defined and in place when required and that test data is appropriately controlled and maintained


  • Financial Services background ideally with Wealth platform testing experience
  • Significant experience in leading large testing projects from defining strategy and plans, execution and results presentation
  • Strong experience in running multi streamed testing activities for both Business and IT functions
  • Experience of working with stakeholders at every level across the organisation
  • Experience of working with 3rd party software suppliers on a major testing activity
  • Experience of working both independently and as part of a team
  • Proven ability of managing resources to deliver to a plan
  • Building up and leading a large Testing Team to a successful conclusion
  • Experience with one of the leading Wealth platform providers in the UK FS market
  • Experience with the Test Management tool VSTS
