Programme Manager, Project Manager, PM, Regulatory, CRM, MiFID II, GDPR

A Programme / Project Manager is needed to join an Investment Bank in the City on a permanent basis. You will manage programmes and projects across the Enterprise encompassing work streams related to Regulatory, Strategic and BAU objectives. Work closely with the Business, Operations, Technology and third-party providers to oversee change inception, planning, design, delivery and operational handover with controlled and expected outcomes. Employ appropriate methodologies to ensure delivery and contribute to and ensure the adoption of Enterprise-wide programme governance and reporting.

CRM implementation experience and exposure to regulatory projects such as MiFID II and GDPR would be very beneficial.

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of programmes/projects through initiation, planning, acceptance and delivery phases
  • Manage project issues and risks to minimise commercial and reputational risk to the company on any project
  • Document and oversee working and steering group meetings
  • Ensure commercial and client satisfaction objectives are achieved
  • Requirements gathering, gap analysis and data analysis, as necessary
  • Manage testing and user acceptance
  • Follow and contribute to project and reporting standards
  • Set and manage internal and external stakeholder expectations
  • Maintain organisational awareness and structure
  • Identify required resources and provide feedback to line managers during, and at the completion of, any project
  • Communicate with the business to identify new requirements and evaluate optimum technical and business solutions with delivery teams
  • Lead, coach, train and mentor junior staff, as appropriate


  • Experience in Equities Research, Trading and Ops and Corporate Finance
  • Strong interpersonal skills, tact, courtesy, good listening skills, team player
  • Self-organisation, time management and prioritisation skills
  • Track record of delivery in a challenging, complex and dynamic environment
  • Ability to make strong decisions within pressurised situations
  • Ability to deal credibly with business and technical resources at all levels of an investment organisation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Hands-on approach with good problem-solving abilities
  • Understanding of technology and applying it to solve business problems
  • Production of specifications for in-house and third-party developers
  • Excellent IT skills with good understanding of different environments and Microsoft software packages
